II. ACTION RESEARCH QUESTIONS:

This action research initiative aims to determine the level of effectiveness of

This research initiative aims to determine the level of effectiveness of Awards,

Rewards and Appreciation (Project AwRA) in improving parent’s participation during the

distribution and retrieval of modules of Grade 5 Poseidon, Bato North Central School, Bato

District, school year 2021 – 2022.

Specifically, it will seek to answer the following questions:

1. (Baseline data question) – this question must tell what’s the current status of the

respondents on the problem you have identified. What is the level of parent’s

participation on the distribution and retrieval of modules based on their attendance

during the first quarter?

2. (Factor/Related Question) – Optional. This should be related to the first question and

must have something to do and must help in solving the general problem identified. If no

parent’s participation?

3. (Intervention Question) – this question should ask about how effective the

innovation/solution/activities/strategies you have implemented on the study. What is the

level of effectiveness of Project AwRA?

4. (Result Question) – this is a question that tells the improvement on the concerned

problem/area/skill after the implementation of the research. This should show the effect

comparing the status before and after the implementation. What is the significant effect

of Project AwRA on the participation of parents during the distribution and retrieval of

modules after the study?

EXPECTED OUTPUT:

1. Cite an output/outcome of your research and quantify target. Improved parent’s

participation from 60% level of involvement to at least 80%.

to parents who are regularly participating in the distribution and retrieval of modules in Grade

5 Poseidon, Bato North Central School, school year 2020 - 2021. (explain further the

This action research will employ descriptive method of research in discussing the

answers of the three research questions posted.

Example: This study will employ descriptive method. 1.) Percentage Analysis Result of the

number of readers and nonreaders in the class based on the PHIL-IRI Group Screening

Test will be used. 2.) The result will be counted through frequency and will be interpreted

through the computation of MEAN and MEAN PERCENTAGE in each activity/strategy as

stated in the table. 3.) A comparison on the Pre and Post assessments will be done to

identify the improvement of the pupils in terms of reading skills after the implementation of

this study. 4.) This will use the standard tool in PHIL-IRI in identifying the level of reading

proficiency and comprehension of each pupil.
