The chemical composition of essential oil obtained from Lavandula multifida L. are listed in Table 1. I this study, 62 compounds were identified and the major components were Camphor (15.68%), 1,8- cinole (14.15%) and Alpha-Pinene.)%13.82( Previous studies on Lavandula multifida chemicals cultivated in Tunisia such as Msaada et al, 2012 showed that major components are linalool (50.05%), Camphene (10.06%), and study of chograni et al showed that the dominant compounds in L. multifida essential oil growing wildly in Tunisia were Carvacroal (31.815), B-bisabolene (14.89%) and acrylic acidester (11.43%). Whereas, Saadi et al, 2016 showed that the major components of L. multifida essential oil growing in Algeria was carvacrol (61.73%) in inflorescence and (50.92%) in leaves, flowed by linalool (5.69%) in inflorescence and auethole (17.37%) in leaves. Another study done by Zinine et al (2016) on L. multifida essential oils in Morocco identified the Carvacroal (65.6%) was the major compound followed by Spathulenol (8.6%) and Para-Gymen-8-ol. These differences in essential oils composition may probably due to environmental conditions such as soil, light, temperature and humidity etc.
