College of The Performing Arts
If bards are storytellers, then it is the medium by which
they tell those stories which truly brings them to life.
While other colleges focus on stories of great valor or
tales of esoteric lore, the College of The Performing
Arts is less concerned with the nature of the story than
on the way in which it is told.
Bards of this college understand that stories have the
greatest power when told as spectacle. Song, Dance,
and all manner of expert choreography and theatrical
elements come together to make their stories truly
memorable - and to spread the magic of those stories
further than any other.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of performing arts, You
gain proficiency in three additional instruments
or performance tools of your choice, as well as the
performance skill if you are not already proficient in it.
Skilled Improvisation
The first lesson any true performer learns is to turn
mistakes into masterpieces. Beginning at third level,
Whenever you would fail a Charisma (performance)
check, you may use your reaction to expend one use
of your bardic inspiration class feature to re-roll the
performance check, adding the result of your bardic
inspiration die.
Expert Choreography
As a performer, you understand that a little extra
preparation goes a long way. Starting at level 6, When
casting a spell with a casting time of one action or
longer, you may choose to double this casting time. If
you do so, you may expend a bardic inspiration dice, and
add it the result to your Spell Save DC or Spell Attack
Modifier
Inspiring Performance
Your performances are nothing short of magical, and
their effects have the potential to inspire the masses
Beginning at 14th level, when you critically succeed on
a performance check, your performance inspires those
around you.
Choose a number of allies equal to your proficiency
bonus who can see or hear your performance. Each
of these allies gains one bardic inspiration die. This
does not count against the number of uses you have left
of your Bardic Inspiration feature. Once you use this
feature, you must complete a long rest before you can
use it again.
