Please summarize the learning you got from the second video session of CSD.

Summary Session 2 :

The things that I have learned in this session are :

 We are not clear with our goals i.e. we do don’t know which way we are going. In
the graduation we are thinking if we get good score in CAT we will be doing MBA,
if got good score in GATE will go for Mtech. In simpler words whatever falls in
our plate we will go for it but should not be like this we have to be clear with our
goal and give us at least 9 months to prepare for any competitive examination.

 The other thing is people often misunderstand the term passion. Everyone says
follow your passion which is a good thing but with the word passion we should add
two more things purpose and practicality. Our passion should have a purpose and
practicality.

 The last thing is success. Define what success is for you it can be getting into IIT’s
or IIM’s or getting a decent job. Have only one success and focus on it only.

Please summarize the learning you got from the fourth video session of CSD.

Summary Session 4 :

This session was about sensitivity analysis

Sensitivity analysis is a financial model that determines how target variables are
affected based on changes in other variables known as input variables. It is a way to
predict the outcome of a decision given a certain range of variables.

Sensitivity analysis is of three types:

 Theoretical
 Practical
 Personal

Theoretical sensitivity means that through data gathering and analysis researchers are able to
“discover” relationships between their categories that lead them to construct a grounded
theory that fits, works with, and is relevant to the field

Practical sensitivity In this teaching note we show how to use sensitivity analysis to consider
uncertainty in the valuation of cash flows. We illustrate in a very simple way the use of the
traditional identical percent change in the variables and an approximate approach that
considers the probability of occurrence of the changes using the standard deviation as the
change instead of the relative change expressed as a percent. Two variables and scenario
analysis is shown to illustrate the sensitivity of multiple variables.

Personal sensitivity It means analysis of our personal nature, understanding our Strengths
and weaknesses. It is recommended not to share your weaknesses with people as they may use
it against you.

Overall Summary and Feedback :

These sessions were about what skills corporates looks for in a candidate and how
candidates can develop those skills. Following are things that I have learned in these
sessions

 To develop skills we first need to identify what skills we should develop it includes
both, the ones we can mention in our CV and other which we cannot but is equally
important.
 To develop these skills we have to first eliminate the negativity inside us, let in new
skills, define our goal and start bargaining with time.

 We have to define what success is for us what we want to achieve and have to
prioritize it. We should learn and achieve.

 We should do sensitivity analysis of our Strengths and weaknesses .
