briefly about my findings using the 6 guide questions. The Apple iPhone originated from the country United States, in the state of San Francisco by Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007. The manufacturing of iPhones today is made over 43 countries and 6 continents. Over the course of years, the manufacturing of iPhones focused overseas, specifically in Asian countries. Specifically, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia are the main countries that participate in the manufacture of iPhone and the countries who bear the characteristic fit for this role. Relatively speaking, iPhones which are made outside the United States would cost less to make and more profitable to sell. The first point is the human resources, employment outside the US which have weaker economic power cost less to employ than the current employees working locally. This also ties in the materials used overseas will cost cheaper, transportation cost will decrease because they have manufacturing branches all over the globe, and a lot of countries in Asia is just starting to industrialize which is being utilized by the foreign market. The main profiters from this is the foreign business which is Apple, and their shareholders. Overseas workers in Asia and different branches outside the US is the one being exploited for cheaper labor cost standards compared to US workers. And the one’s who suffer most are the local business from each country who is dominated by overseas products such as Apple. The economy is set up this way in order for general rotation of goods and money around the world, foreign business may benefit a country through employment and investment, but they benefit way more compared to the local country. The economy is setup for the benefit of big foreign business and against local and small businesses. With my new discovery, I think the thought of utilizing Globalization in order to unite the different countries of the world is good however it is corrupted and blinded by the greed of each country trying to take advantage of the foreign market and income. Hence, Globalization will only work if people around the world truly seek unity instead of personal gains and selfish exploitation of each other. Globalization can both divide and unite nations in terms of different aspects such as social class, living standards, and the wellbeing of the citizens of each country.
