1.) Site at least two scenarios explaining the difference between equality and equity

- Here are my two scenarios between differentiating equality to equity. For example,
there are a scholarship grant given to every 30 students that are intellectually smart in the batch
of 2020-2022 in a room full of 60 students. but for every student there are different financial
means in which each student can use that scholarship to help their family financially and help
lessen their day-to-day expenses. But in some cases, there would be scholarships granted to
students that has the means to afford their tuition unlike others, due to the help of their tutors
and other advanced learning systems that they could they have the advantage to afford unlike
other unfortunate students. Seemingly a smart but poor student and a smart rich student both
has the right to obtain the scholarship but, in some cases, it would seem unfair since it deprives
the chance for another unfortunate student to gain the scholarship. So, for it to become equal
there should be a considerable factor of school institutions to focus on providing those students
who are the most in need.
- Another scenario would be about the service provided to disabled and academically
challenged people. In a restaurant there are inabilities that these people are having trouble to
function than the rest of the people. For example, having trouble ordering in a menu and
difficulties communicating/ understanding one another. That is why there are lines specifically
made in fast food chains for PWD’s, pregnant women, and disabled people. In this case it would
be considered as Equity for the special assistance for these cases.

2.) Based on your personal experience, identify one WHO Health system block which seems to be of
a challenge for the country. Support your answer by citing examples.

- A challenge for the country would be the health workforce inside the Philippines. It is
stated that the country is full of joyful and hospitable people hence why there are numerous
nurses in the country. But there are also benefactors on why health care workers in the
Philippines opt to migrate and choose to settle in other countries. Major factor would be the
exaggerating low income for nurses and other health allied professionals they gain after having
an exhausting and draining working environment. Research says, around 3,000 to 8,000 nurses
leave the country each year on permanent visas in search for a better living environment and
reasonable salary for their hard-work each day.
