Movie Review

The plot of the film tells us all about what a dyslexic student in school goes through. It

reveals what kind of circumstances the main character had to undergo due to adults’ lack of

awareness of dyslexic conditions that lead to misconceptions in terms of making a judgment

about Ishaan’s behavior. The movie demonstrates the representation of adults’ inefficient ways

to recognize a child’s reason for his inabilities leading them to feel depressed and frustrated as to

how they themselves do not understand how they cannot function like the rest of their peers. The

story seems to mainly appear in a school classroom. The story firstly develops by explaining

Ishaan’s daily struggle to socialize, and participate in school and then brought to a boarding

school leading Ishaan to be separated from his family in order to be strictly disciplined in hopes

to develop progress in his studies. This movie shows us the illustration of high parental

expectations they give their child which affects how they act and behave. The fact that praises

and being categorized as being more superior than another are something you should not do to a

child. It shows the reality of unnecessary pressure teachers and parents expect from a child and

anything else is often dismissed for failure. The film demonstrates us the culture of parents being

too idealistic and blinded to see their child’s worth. No child is better than the other, every child

has their own talents and gifts that every parent should be proud of. School is no official

confirmation of success and intelligence so don’t punish or treat your child any different than a

child that deserves love and care. Be more understanding and observe your child’s actions,

scholastic achievements should not be a parent’s main focus or main reason for you to be proud

of your child. A struggling child only means more attention and help from others. And teachers

should have the patience and compassion to help each child because a professional mentor that
only focuses on pressuring and setting expectations for young children may lead to feeling

unwanted and lack motivation to enjoy lif

The script and storylines portrayed in the movie gave a touching moment for its viewers

to relate from its message. The plot and the climax of the movie details the perspective of

dyslexic children as to how they go through difficult issues in performing at school without

proper guidance from adults and rejects the possibility of children not knowing how to perform

well in studying and other forms but can somehow be excellent in artistic and other types of

intelligence. The performance of each actor in the movie gave a realistic act that can make their

audiences feel the emotion intended in each scene. Successfully showing the authentic approach

of a strict and worried parent struggling to define the reason for their child’s behavior to

approaching a judgement that Ishaan was only misbehaving and does not have an incapability to

act normally. As well as the protagonist’s sincere emotions including frustrations, anger, sadness,

confusion, and later on content and happiness. Movie scene transitions, quick cuts, off-screen

voices, and cartoon animated displays to portray the main characters’ POV’s added to the edits in

the movie to enhance the show’s value and provide a clearer representation of the message that is

meant to be conveyed to the viewers. Also, thoughtfully choosing the music to be added given to

match the vibe of the situation and to the emotional presentation of the actors. The authenticity

of the setting/location for the movie to be as accurate as possible. Indicated backgrounds in the

movie are shown to provide the most realistic situations to represent actual obstacles and

hindrances. Visual presentation of a middle-income class family home on a table setting or in a

bathroom, and an educational setting to display a school environment in order to provide a

convincing performance for the main character.

The movie was entitled “Every child is Special” because of how Ishaan was treated

differently from school and at home. He receives harsh insults frequently from his father and

teachers with punishments because of how he seems to be unable to act and do normal day to day

activities like getting dressed, focusing in class, reading, etc. while students that perform well in

class get praised and receive good treatment from teachers just like his brother that was a class

topper and tennis champion. But later on, showed that he had dyslexic mannerisms that made

him unable to behave like the rest of the class. But to their surprise, Ishaan was quite skilled

when it comes to art. This film explains the fact that each child does not need to excel in one

expected path. for every individual has an ability to achieve greatness and has their own way of

success. Therefore, every child is deserved to be called special whether or not they succeed in

meeting any expectation of others. I rate the movie as a 10, I believe the movie succeeded in

delivering a great impact to viewers, clear understanding of daily struggles of a dyslexic child

experience. an emotional and piercing movie that anyone can love and relate because I believe

everyone could have experienced being pressured or had difficult circumstances at school.
