Agneepath Scheme is a recruitment process launched by the central
government and the youth selected under this scheme will be known as
Agniveers. Agnipath allows patriotic and motivated youth to serve in the
Armed Forces for a period of four years

The Agnipath Scheme will provide an opportunity to the youth who


are keen to don the uniform. The scheme is to attract young talent
from the society who are more in tune with contemporary
technological trends and plough back skilled, disciplined and
motivated manpower into the society.

On completion of the engagement period of four years, Agniveers will


be paid one time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package worth 11.71 L which is tax free
to aid the Agniveer to pursue his/her future dreams without the
financial pressure, which is normally the case for young people from
the financially deprived strata of society.

CONCLUDING: A unique opportunity to the youth to serve the country and


contribute to the Nation Building process and also Availability of well-
disciplined and skilled youth with military ethos in civil society who could
emerge as role models for the youth of India

• The 10th pass youths who will be reinstated as Agniveer will be given
a 12th pass certificate on retiring after 4 years. Some bridge courses
will also be provided.
• * Agniveers will get Skill India certification while in service which is
equivalent to 12th grade certificate, which will enable them to pursue
many diverse opportunities in entrepreneurship and job roles that are
being created in our economy such as Directorate General of Training
(DGT), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), etc will be
connected with this exercise after completion of their tenure

• Those youths who are willing to get jobs, they will be given priority in
CAPF and State Police. The government says that avenues will be
opened for them in other sectors as well.
• the Centre has approved reservation of 10% of the job vacancies in
ministry of defence for Agniveers The 10% reservation will be
implemented in the Indian Coast Guard and defence posts as well as all
the 16 Defence PSUs (HAL, BEL, BEML, etc)
• Several state governments have announced that Agniveers will be given
preference in filling of vacancies in state police forces after their tenure
as the state police forces will greatly benefit from the training and
discipline inculcated to Agniveers by the armed forces
• 25 percent Agniveer soldiers will be given permanent appointment in
the army. It will be decided on the basis of their merit and
performance.

• The central government had said that Agniveers will get Rs 30,000-
45,000 per month as salary
• First year salary-4.76L • Upgradation of 6.92L in 4th year
• Compensation on death=1CR
• DiSABILITY compensation • 100%=44L 75%=25L 50%=15L
• Non-contributory life insurance=48L
• Seva nidhi exit package after 4 year service=11.71L (tax free)
• At the age of 21 to 24 years, you will be able to add an lump sum amount
of about 20 lakhs
• Schemes like MUDRA & Stand up India will be leveraged to extend credit
support to Agniveers to set up businesses after their stint . Department
of Telecom will provide employment opportunities in areas of Optical
Fibre Maintenance, Fibre to Home (FTTH), Customer Interface, etc.
• the Ministry of Home Affairs has been told to give priority to qualified
firefighters in recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles.
• AS I mentioned there would be 10% of job reservations in many civil
posts of india
• big companies have been announced to hire Disciplined and Skilled
Agniveer who will uphold the dignity of the institution
