talk first about the city, Kuala Lumpur and its main attractions to visit.

Petronas Towers

At 452 meters high, they are the largest twin towers in the world. It has 88
floors, although travelers can only climb to the bridge that connects them, at
170 meters. This viewpoint allows us to obtain one of the best views of the city.
It is recommended to go first thing in the morning, since in order to access them
it will be necessary to get a ticket with a number. As a curiosity, the name of
Petronas is due to the Petroliam National Berhad of Malaysia. This is
undoubtedly the icon of Kuala Lumpur and a must-see visit.
Kuala Lumpur Tower

This communications tower is located a few meters from the Petronas, in the
same neighborhood of Gran Jalan Ampang. It is 421 meters high and allows
you to climb up to 276 meters, although its main drawback is that from this
viewpoint you can only see one of the twin towers. The other is covered by his
sister. However, if you are traveling as a family, it is one of the most suitable
centers for children to entertain themselves, since it also has a zip line and
ponies.

Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve

It is the green heart of Kuala Lumpur, a huge park of more than 10 hectares
where we can see native rainforest. In fact, it is one of the oldest reserves in the
country. In it you can take guided tours, for this you can buy tickets at the Kuala
Lumpur tower.
Masjid Negara Mosque

It is the national mosque, currently the most important in the city. Its main
characteristic is its architecture, much more modernist and from which a star-
shaped dome stands out that represents the pillars of Islam. Although it is one
of the largest, non-Muslims will only be able to enter one part.

Thean Hou Temple

This six-tiered Chinese temple encompasses elements of Taoism, Buddhism,

and Confucianism. Its grandiose architecture, which mixes the traditional with
modernism, has made it one of the major tourist attractions in the city. It has
been open to the public since its inauguration in 1989.
Sri Mahamariamman Temple

It is the oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia, and also one of the most impressive. It
was built in 1873 and what is most striking is the number of gods that are
represented on its façade. Also, inside we can find some of them, all
surrounded by flowers and offerings.

Merdeka Square

This huge esplanade is Independence Square, the place where on August 31,
1957, the flag of Great Britain was replaced by that of Malaysia. In the first half
of June, this is where the king's birthday is celebrated, so the military can be
seen parading through the square.
Batu Caves

This hill is on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, about 13 kilometers, although it is

one of the most recommended excursions. The Hindu temple, surrounded by
nature, is one of the most impressive in the country and the most important
outside of India. It is dedicated to Murugan, who stands imposingly at its
entrance.

Continuing the virtual tour of this wonderful hotel, we touch one of the
fundamental parts which is the restaurant. This is a great place where there are
two types of environments, depending on what you want to eat.

Malaysia is a paradise for lovers of good food: Indian, Chinese and Portuguese
influences are noticeable both in its streets and in its dishes in 5-star hotels.
Malaysian food is characterized by the abundant use of chilli and / or chili milk
in frying.

Here at Le Meridien Putrajaya hotel we have a variety of dishes but we will

mention the most exquisite:

Here is our selection:

– HOKKIEN MEE
These are delicious fried noodles served in soy sauce, meat, cuttlefish,
cabbage, and pork fat.

– NASI LEMAK
The nasi lemak, is a rice cooked in coconut milk and served with a spicy
anchovy sauce, chicken or fried meat, boiled eggs, cucumber slices and
peanuts, it is one of the symbolic dishes of Malaysia.

– SATAY
They are pieces of meat placed on a bamboo skewer, which are grilled over
charcoal embers. Turmeric is often used to marinate pieces of meat. The meats
used are veal, pork, venison, fish, prawns, chicken, crocodile and snake,
accompanied with a peanut and vegetable sauce.

– LAKSA
If you travel through Malaysia you will realize that the options to eat soup are
not lacking, although if you have to choose one that is laksa! There are usually
two types of laksa: Curry laksa that of noodles cooked in coconut milk, prawns,
curry, peanuts and chili and Assam laksa that of noodles cooked in fish soup,
tofu and tamarind.
– ROJAK
It is a fresh salad of pineapple, cucumber, turnip, dressed with a spicy sauce of
tamarind, lemon, peanut and sugar and regularly accompanied by a small
shrimp paste.

Among the desserts we have 3 of the best:

– ROTI CANAI

Roti Canai is a circular flatbread from Malaysia. Its dough is made with flour,
egg, fat and water. The type of fat used is usually clarified butter. If it is filled, its
shape becomes square because it must be folded. It is usually served as an
accompaniment to lentil curry, with condensed milk or with sugar and melted
butter.
– ICE KAKANG
It is a mountain of wet shaved ice with super colorful flavored syrups and some
other surprises (ice cream, corn, beans, jellies…).

– TEH TARIK
We cannot finish this section without encouraging you to try teh tarik: It is a
black or ginger tea mixed with condensed milk that they prepare by throwing it
from one container to another. It is said that the more foam it has, the richer it
will taste.

loved ones.

The Malaysian souvenirs are varied, but above all, they are artisan products,
ranging from valuable antiques to precious handcrafted crafts. Most of the
artisans are Muslim, for this reason the designs have a great influence from
Islam. On the other hand, since religion prohibits the representation of the
human form in art, you will find designs with natural elements such as leaves or
vineyards, flowers and also animal motifs.
In Malaysia the souvenirs typical, are perfect to take you as a souvenir of this
fascinating country.
