Email Campaign Strategy, Timeline

and Investment
Hey Derick,

On our call, you mentioned that you haven’t really put in any effort in your
email marketing. You also mentioned that you have an automatic sequence
setup but aren’t completely sure if it’s working. That and you barely run any
promos at all and the last email you’ve sent them as a broadcast was last
December.

Which is why I think we can optimistically expect our email campaigns to

immediately add more revenue to your bottomline because we’re neither
subtracting or changing anything that you’re doing profitably.

With that said, here’s are the strategies and sequences we can implement
within the next 30 days…

THE STRATEGY

STEP 1: Create a list of products that we intend to promote categorized

based on the niche or demographics. You mentioned that you have
hundreds of products on hand but to start with, we’re just gonna focus on
the top five for each niche or interest..

Once you hand me the spreadsheet of the products that you’ve sold so far
(or intend to sell) together with a quick description of the item, I’ll start
categorizing them in a way that would make sense to do STEP #2

STEP 2: We then segment your subscribers based on these categories.

Upon working with clients who have general offerings, we’ve noticed that
the best way to accomplish this is to segment them based on the
product/products they’ve bought before so we can promote products close
or somewhat identical.

(Hence why we’re doing step 1)

Doing this also allows us to identify your list demographically and be able
to promote products that they may be interested in based on their shown
demographic. That and our promos have to make logical sense (i.e.
someone buying a beauty cream for their face after buying a facial hair
remover.)

STEP 3: Once we have the categories and the segments down, we’re now
almost ready to start doing regular daily promos. However, so as not to
waste any traffic driven to the product page, we need to have an Abandon
Cart Sequence in place containing 3-5 emails -- getting them back to
purchase.

STEP 4: Next is Browse Abandonment. It’s a similar thing to Cart

Abandonment however, it’s only sent to those who visited the page but
didn’t buy from an email you sent. Again, the purpose of this sequence is to
squeeze as much profit from the traffic that we’re sending using emails.

STEP 5: Another sequence we need to have in place prior to promoting is

our Post Purchase Sequence of about 3-5 emails specifically targeting
those who’ve just purchased a product and possibly cross-sell them to
other ‘best-selling’ products in your inventory.

The products we’ll be cross-selling will depend on the categories we’ll

derive from STEP 1 of our strategy to ensure that we are only promoting
products that are already proven winners.

And just like the abandoned cart sequence, we’re putting this in place as
early as possible to make sure that the we have all bases covered as soon
as we start sending broadcast emails (promos) to our list.

STEP 6: After finding the categories we can exploit, doing the segments,
and having all the required sequences in place, we’ll be planning our
Broadcast Campaign Calendar and Sequence for the month of March
(I’m hoping we can get this out in time for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration).
Having a list of over 100+ thousand subscribers, I feel this is where we can
do the most damage without doing a whole lot.

STEP 7: Another area that I see the most potential in is adding a New
Subscriber Sequence for those who’ll be opting-in for a store discount.
This will be made up of about 4-5 emails urging them to go back and use
their discount coupon.
STEP 8: Lastly, we will monitor the performance of the these sequences
and determine if it’s contributing to any increase in conversions. If it does,
then we can talk about adding certain sequences like Product Of The
Month Emails or Freebie Fridays (where they only pay for shipping).
Sure, these additional sequences can boost your revenue even more… but
I prefer to give you results first before doing additional sequences.

PROPOSED TIMELINE

Days 6 to 7: Installing conversion tracking.

Days 7 to 12: Install Abandon Cart and Browse Abandonment emails

DELIVERABLES

❏ Campaign Setup
❏ Abandon Cart Sequence
❏ Browse Abandonment Sequence
❏ Post Purchase Sequence
❏ Promo Emails (10 days worth)
❏ New Subscriber emails
❏ Conversion tracking

INVESTMENT

OPTION 1: A one-time setup fee of 2,500 USD plus 6,000 USD as full
payment for the copy of ALL the deliverables stated above and 10 days
worth of promo emails.

This also includes sequence optimization of up to 2 revisions.

OPTION 2: A one-time investment of 3,000 USD setup fee which also

covers ALL the deliverables stated above including the daily promo emails,
together with a 20% commission on every sale generated (gross revenue)
from emails alone.

The commission percentage for sales obtained through the campaign will
be applied against the net sale amount excluding: any applicable sales tax,
cost of goods, and sales coming directly from ads. It’s payable on the 15th
of the month following the initial transaction.

This option allows you to have me working on your daily promo emails and
future sequences for the succeeding months WITHOUT spending another
dime on retainer fees.

To be honest, I prefer this option better because the only way I’d make
more is if I give you more revenue for your business, making it a win-win
for both of us.

Anyway, that's it.

Truth be told I'm excited to work with you on this project and don't want to
make this strategy any more complicated than it should be. :-)

Just reply back with a ‘YES’ and the option you chose if it’s a go... and
I’ll send you an invoice with the requirements that I’ll need from you before
we get started (simple stuff like access to Google analytics, shopify staff
account, and product list).

Once done and the invoice is paid, we can get started smashing some
goals.

...Or just reply ‘NO’ if you think the plan sucks. Lol!

Looking forward to crushing this with you,

John Pagulayan
