‘This subject aims to expose students to the ASEAN institution to promote regional and global understanding about countries fom the perspective of
ASEAN. It is vided into throe parts. The fist part provides a background ofthe ASEAN region by discusing is history, charter and organization.
1W also includes a discussion on the various theoretical perspectives on regional integration. Here, students are expected to have frm grasp of the
rationale ofthe ASEAN, as well as the collective vision ofits member stats. The second part ofthe course is comparative analysis ofthe ASEAN
‘member states namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. It
