TASK − To cut and create Seismic Lines as directed by

Surveyor

− Be conversant with Project Technical

Parameters and Environmental Guidelines.

− Ensure you have been trained in the use of

machete

− Implement safe handling and swinging of

machete to avoid cuts on the body

− Cut shrubs to the bare ground and avoid

sharp edges cuts.

− Ensure machete head is in grip of hands to

avoid being flung.

− Ensure you are donned in required PPE while

carrying out lines cutting.

− Watch out for snakes, bees while cutting and

assume safe position

− Use probing stick while walking through

swamp

− Ensure you are trained in the use of probe

stick while walking in swamp

− Ensure you are within reach while cutting

lines. Be in view of cleaners

− Ensure your feet are well positioned to gain

 good balance while cutting

− Participate in daily tool box meeting

− Participate in RIR system

− Implement line trekking procedure

− Adopt buddy system on lines.

− Ensure you are guided by HSE Policy of IDSL

whilst in employment

− Ensure lines are cleaned to avoid trip hazards

− Mark out hazards spots to warn those coming

behind

SKILL SET − Minimum 1 year as survey helper.
