Oral Presentation
Description and Criteria
Objective The objective of this project is to be able to convey in spoken form information about a subculture,
their cultural identity, cultural values, the cultural practices they engage in, and the cultural
spaces they inhabit.
Final Product
- A 8 to 10-minute group oral presentation about a subculture in Cali or the world.

Things to consider when researching and developing your oral presentations are:
Who is part of this subculture?
What defines this subculture? What is their cultural identity?
What other subcultures are associated with or connected with it?
What cultural practices or rituals do they engage in?
What is important to this subculture? What are their cultural values?
Where in the world do they engage in their cultural practices?
What, if any, conflicts exist within this subculture?
Grading Criteria
Oral presentations will be assessed in the following areas:

coherence/organization
use of visual aids
answering questions
fluency
clarity
language use
audience participation
effectiveness
