must modify the noun “customer”. Therefore, the correct sentence should be:

iv. When five years old, my mother enrolled in a medical school.


The error in sentence (iv) is a dangling modifier. The correct sentence should be:
When I was five years old, my mother enrolled in a medical school.

v. I was told to always pay attention in class.


The error in sentence (v) is a split infinitive. The word ‘to’ is separated from the
verb ‘pay’. The correct sentence is:
I was told always to pay attention in class.

vi. When we got in the car. We rolled down the window.


‘When we got in the car’ is a sentence fragment; it is dependent on the
independent clause that follows it. The correct statement should be:
When we got in the car, we rolled down the window.
