Best Practices For School Year 2020-2021
AREA TASKS/WORKLOAD As Regional Writer I crafted the Module on Needlecraft as early as May this year, presented it to the Quality & Assurance Team virtually and submit it to our EPS in TLE for submission in the region. Make e-book that was submitted to our EPS in the Division. Printed all the SLMs ahead of time together with the FOR LEARNING MATERIALS Thinking Log. Innovate an Answer Sheets for students for their convenience. Made a personalized Thinking Log for male and female students. I make sure that all the SLMs are 100% ready before the beginning of the school year. I provided 1:1 ratio on SLMs to my learners. Created a Group Chat with my learners so I can reach them easily and give them additional instructions. Give my personal number to my learners so they can contact me anytime if they want to ask questions on me regarding their modules. Asked the contact number of the learners specially to those who have no internet signal. For learners convenience I provide them Project Plan FOR MY LEARNERS for their output on performance tasks. Since there are learners who did not follow the instructions stipulated on the modules I follow them up through our chat rooms and explain to them how the task should be done. I also give my learners sample designs on the performance task given to them so they can do it easily even without my presence. Make a TO DO LIST for my learners FOR THE CLASSROOM Signage on Health Protocol mandated by the IATF were placed outside and inside the classroom and in a conspicuous place for the awareness of my co teachers and parents who will come to my room. Alcohol/Hand sanitizer is provided for free. If we human being protect ourselves through face mask and face shield I also make myself protected by making a barrier on my table for additional protection. Announcements were posted on the bulletin board as to when to get the modules so with the Do’s and Don’ts. Recycled boxes with labels were provided per sections that serve as container for SLMs to distributed. Returned SLMs and Answer Sheets were also placed on boxes intended for them. Instead of buying plastic containers as storage box for retrieved SLMs I recycled the boxes of bond paper by just covering it with printed designs and scotch tape to make it last longer. These recycled boxes are then used to keep the SLMs and Answer Sheets of students for future reference. Boxes for used SLMs and returned Answer Sheets are placed on an area which is accessible for the advisers. I also required the advisers to sign in the Log Book every time they will get and returned the SLMs together with the Answer Sheets so I can keep truck the number of SLMs distributed and returned. I always clean the room everyday and disinfect it once a week as mandated by the higher officials in our department. Arrange the tables and chairs following the protocols of social distancing. AS A TEACHER Work diligently on the tasks given and assigned to me. If I’m on site I come to school early and went home beyond the number of hours required to us to be rendered which is 6 hours. If I’m at Work from Home I make use of my time printing modules, thinking log and answer sheets. To keep my self abreast I attended Webinars offered by our department and webinars conducted by non DepEd institution. I also enrolled in a V-Smart courses on this new normal. I assist our Principal in making slides for our virtual meeting. There were times that our supplies for module printing is not enough, I asked the help from my friends and batch to donate school supplies for our consumption. I make myself always available if our Principal and my co teachers needs my assistance. As Facilitator during our District LDM I did my best for our group as a result we ended it successfully and learned a lot during the session. Attended the Flag Ceremony every Monday and participated the Zumba Dance. Practice Healthy Lifestyle by drinking water always, distancing myself with my co worker to abide the IATF protocol on social/physical distancing, working alone with music on the background to bring positive vibes on this pandemic time. Abide the school rules and regulations regarding the mandate of our IATF regarding the health protocols to be observed. I always attended the meeting may it be face to face or FOR THE SCHOOL virtually because it is the good for our school. Help our school by complying all the things needed by the higher office specially the making of our School Program and making the official list of the students.
