Ingredients:
Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu - ½ cup
Salt to taste
For Seasoning:
Ghee - 1 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 2 cut into small pieces
Curry leaves - 2 sprig
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - a pinch
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tsp
Method:
Wash and take moong dal in a sauce pan, cover with 1.5 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
Simmer for 15 to 20 mins till it is done.
Now make seasoning. Heat ghee in a pan, add in mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves,
chilli and asafoetida. Let them sizzle.
Now pour dal in this and mix well. Season with salt.
Serve
