1. Introduce yourself

My name is Thu. I’m 25 years old. I was a student at Textile – Leather and Fashion school of HUST. I love
learning English and also love sharing everything which I obtained with everyone That’s why when I was
a third-year student, I established an English club for my school which is named TFL English club. I’m
very happy to be here today and meet you all. Thank you.

2. Have you ever been in peer pressure feeling?

Yes of course. But Peer pressure can be positive or negative. When peer pressure is positive, it pushes
you to be your best.  On other hand, with negative peer pressure, I think one of us, at least once time
you have undergone this feeling. These are kind of things like:

- When you see your peers who are the same age, take part in the same group, or also
study/develop in the same environment, but they are more successful, better than you and they
have own bright careers. You will feel nervous and start comparing yourself with them in
negative ways.
- Then you want to prove yourself as soon as possible, imperceptibly you have been losing
yourself due to engrossed in other's people achievements.
3. How can handle negative peer pressure and also ca improve positive peer pressure?
 Handle negative pressure
- “Peer pressure” isn’t bad, it just becomes worst when you have wrongly perceived it. So the first
thing you need to do to handle this issue is that change your mindset about “peer pressure”
- Don’t be jealous. Those people have done better than you, absolutely they have tried and
strived a lot. So all you need to do is to keep breaking your own record every single day.
- Substitute jealous and disappointed about yourself, you need to exert yourself reach out to
good persons and learn from them.
- Don’t be rash! Keep calm to figure out the problem and resolve them in the best way.
- Be honest with yourself, don't hide your incompetence. If you're bad, pls admit that you're
incompetent, if another person is good, feel free to recognize their ability and effort.
