Emcee 2: My name is King!Today, we are gathered here to
participate in the christening sacrament, and to give thanks
and celebrate our joy in the arrival of a precious child.
Emcee 1: Good Morning Partner!
Emcee 2: Good Morning too Partner!
Both: Good morning everyone!
Emcee 1: And welcome to the most awaited party of the year,
JM’s Christening and 2nd Birthday !
Emcee 2: Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Lea katherine want to share
their joy with you and they look forward to your continuing
involvement with their child's life in the years ahead. They are
also aware of the great responsibility that is now theirs. A
great deal of their lives will be involved in caring for their child,
and guiding him through the many paths of life.
Emcee 1: As the years go by, their role as parents will be
assisted and enhanced by each one of you here today, as well
as by the friends and elsewhere that are unable to be here.
The christening of a child is an important rite of passage to
those that recognize the role that God plays in our lives.
Emcee 2: The Bible tells us that it is God's will that children be
brought to him for blessing.
We are reminded of a story in the book of Matthew, Chapter
19, where little children were brought to Jesus for him to place
his hands on them and pray for them. Jesus's disciples felt
perhaps that the children were not important enough to
warrant Christ's time and energy, and they turned them away.
Emcee 1: However, Jesus said:
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these".Then he
took the children in his arms, placed his hands on each of
them, and blessed them…Baptism is an important milestone in
our baby’s spiritual life. It is the time that we welcome our
baby into our family faith.
Emcee 2: And today, Baby Jimmy has just been baptized by
Rev. Fr. Roseller Martinez at Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish Church.
And we are very much honored and lucky to be present here
today and be part of the happiness of Baby Jm’s family.
Emcee 1: So, without much further ado, let us put our hands
together for the entrance of our newly baptized child! Baby
Jimmy Fabros Rivera Jr.Together with his proud parents, Mr.
Jimmy Aliangan Rivera and Mrs. Ma. Lea Katherine Fabros
Rivera.
Both: Lets welcome them with a big, big, smile!
Emcee 2: Let us now have the Opening Prayer which will be
lead by ________________. I would like to request everyone to
stand.
Thank you Ma’am/Sir. _______ and thank you so much everyone
for gracing this very momentous chapter of Baby JM’s life.
Emcee 1: At this moment, let us hear the messages of the
proud parents to their newly baptized baby. Let us start off
with the father, Mr. Jimmy A. Rivera. Thank you sir. Now, Let
me call on the mother, Mrs.Lea Katherine Fabros Rivera. Thank
you ma’am.
Emcee 2: Now, let me call on the godparents to please stand
and may I request Mr. ___________________________ and
Ms.___________________________________ to come forward to light
the candle of the baptismal cake. As godparents, you have
accepted the roles and responsibilities of being Baby JM’s light
and guide as he grows so that he will become the person that
God plans him to be.
At this moment, you make a wish for Baby JM’s and then blow
the candle in 3, 2, 1, Blow!
May Baby Jimmy grow up to be God-fearing and may he
become the best version of himself as he lives his life
according to God’s plans.
Emcee 1: Now, let’s have the slicing of the baptismal cake by
the parents.
At this point in time, I would like to request the godparents to
pour wine in their glasses and have a toast in 3, 2, 1. Toast!
Thank you so much dear godparents for accepting the
challenge in co-parenting Baby JM’s.
Emcee 2: Time check, it’s already _____ and it’s already time for
us to take our Lunch. We will just continue with the rest of our
program right after. At this juncture, let me call on

so much Brgy. Captain Jimmy Rivera and Maam Lea Katherine
for inviting us today. Indeed, today, we can say that “happy
na, birthday at binyag pa(Aside from being happy, it’s also a

Emcee 1: And since we have traditions kapag may mga
occasions po like this, Hindi po mawawala ang “Gala Gala”
Ok so let’s start off with our Godparents!

Emcee 2: At this juncture, may We hear the message of Ma’am

our godparents and guests. (Just assign someone to distribute
the tokens/souvenirs to the godparents and guests at their
respective tables.)
