Exercise 2
Read the dialogues and explain the expressions in bold.

Dialogue I
A: This is a really difficult question. Have you got any ideas?
B: Well, I think that some music may be still popular then, for example The Beatles. What
about you?
A: Right. I think you’re right. I think some of the most popular stars will stay around.

Dialogue II
A: I think that hip-hop music is still the most popular amongst young people. What’s your
opinion?
B: Well, you may be right, but more and more young people listen to rap music too. Do you
agree with me?
A: Aren’t rap and hip-hop the same?

Read the dialogues and explain the expressions in bold.

Dialogue III

A: I don’t think it’s true. What do you think?

B: Hmm. Well, there are a lot, aren’t there? And some of the people who take part in them

aren’t really talented. Do you agree?

A: Yes, I agree with you. But, on the other hand, those people don’t usually win, do

they?
Exercise 2
Try to answer the questions using the expressions in bold from the last exercise.

1. What is the most popular type of music amongst your age group? Why do you think this

2. Some people think all modern pop music is rubbish. Do you agree with this opinion?
