SUBJECT : UPDATING OF THE PROFILES OF THE BARANGAY

OFFICIALS THROUGH THE BARANGAY INFORMATION
SYSTEM-BARANGAY OFFICIALS PROFILING SYSTEM (BIS-
BOPS)

Pursuant to the Office of the President (OP) Memorandum Circular No. 95 series of
2022, all government agencies, instrumentalities, as well as Local Government Units,
are directed to prepare for the implementation of the Philippine Identification System
(PhilSys ID) and its integration into government processes, databases, systems, and
services.

The Department, through the National Barangay Operations Office (NBOO), is

maintaining the Barangay Information System (BIS) wherein the Barangay Officials’
Profiling System (BOPS) is one of its modules. The BOPS is a web application being
used to gather and encode the profiles of the elective and appointive barangay and
SK officials. Through the BOPS, we can establish/build databases related to the
profiles of the said officials.

In compliance with the said OP Circular, there is a need to update the profiles of the
said barangay and SK officials by indicating their PhilSys Card Number (PCN), if
already available. A sample of the PhilSys ID, indicating the location of the PCN is
attached as Annex A, for reference.

In this regard, may we request your level to advise our DILG Field Officers to update
the profiles of the said officials through the BIS-BOPS module. A revised Barangay
Official’s Information Sheet (BOIS) is made available and can be accessed through
the Help menu of the BIS. A copy is attached as Annex B.
