Stock market is an important component of the financial sector in promoting economic

development. By reducing the cost of mobilizing savings, the stock market may channel
investments into the most productive technologies, therefore leading to economic growth
(Greenwood and Smith, 1997). Over the course of time that the group had executed the trade, the
group has been learning new techniques and strategies for trading stocks. Consequently, spends
time reviewing and doing detailed checks on a great deal of securities, providing the group a
fuller understanding of market movement.

At the outset, an allowance of P100,000 was given to the group to invest. Google sheets
were used to keep a record of all the transactions made, while PSE was chosen as a primary
stock simulator. Initially, the nature of the securities traded by the group from the very first week
to the last week has been established to be equity securities, as they are investments in shares
issued by another company. The group was keen and careful in choosing where to invest. Each
member also chose stocks that have historically done very well, choosing primarily from
companies that have exhibited a good trend and that are likely to have long-term stability and
strength. The group’s planned strategy was to maintain the portfolio that we have and continue to
be more observant about the stock prices in the stock market. We never know when the stocks
will reach a high price. Thus, at the time, it was best that we carefully observe and wait. The
chosen companies that the group decided to invest from throughout the provided number of
weeks were observed regularly. The group has implemented these actions over the past three
weeks and believes that a combination of patience, observation and wise decisions is the key to
maintaining our securities portfolio. The pandemic and the recent elections was a real challenge
since the stock market kept declining and the profits were not very large, but the group was still
able to complete the following transactions, which are optimal for our portfolio.

In conclusion, this simulation provided a basic introduction to the investment world. The
group has accomplished their goals through the research in various investment vehicles and
trading strategies. Our understanding of the stock market and its potential to increase the value of
an investor's portfolio over time was also improved after the simulation and research experience.
