JOURNAL 5 (SAMBUHAY): “Your Servant is Listening!

“Sambuhay” is the reality of your life as you live in the community. You are expected to carry
the CICM missionary spirit as you serve your communities through your works in the field of
education or humanities. There’s so much preoccupation in your community that sometimes
you forget to spend time in silence. In a peaceful life, silence is an essential element that lets
you to reconnect with yourself, with the community and with God. This goal will be achieved
as you reflect on the following guide questions:

1. As an empowered Louisian, how can you respond to God’s call to mission?

As an empowered Louisian, I can respond to God’s call to mission through an

initiative I can make in my community such as sharing the Word of God to others and create
a harmony between people with different beliefs to establish a good relationship which
contributes to the existence of good societies; societies where the Word of God is always
present.

2. How can you enter into fellowship with the community you work with?
I can enter into fellowship with the community I work with through engaging myself
in interfaith dialogue as people in our community have different religions. By doing this, I
will be able to show them that even we have different religions, we could still build a friendly
relationship with one another. Interfaith dialogue is the best way to enter into fellowship
because I believe this kind of dialogue will make our relationship stronger and we will be
able to see that there are plenty of activities where believers of different faith in our
community can work together towards common goals.
