"Explain how freedoms for African Americans were socially, politically, and economically
limited from 1865 to 1900?"

Your response should consist one paragraph Including at least one person, term, or event from the
lesson) in each paragraph.for each of the following:
African Americans were living very miserable lives due to racial separation in the
Social times after the civil war. Racial separation made it extremely hard for African
Limitations Americans to find jobs and even if they did, they would be paid far less than whites.
Rarely would African Americans manage to find any form of education, as they were
not permitted to be in the same vicinity as whites. These rules were called Jim Crow
laws. They must use different bathrooms, buses, water fountains, schools, parks,
hospitals, etc.

These limitations caused African Americans to have their basic rights taken away.
Political They couldn’t own property, couldn't vote, and had unnecessarily high taxes. In
Limitations addition to this, African Americans were forced to face a terrorist organization, the Klu
Klux Klan (KKK). They went out of their way to destroy the little that African
Americans did have.

African Americans found it very hard to make any amount of money once the civil war
Economic ended and they were freed. Though they were legally free, many white people still did
Limitations not like them and refused to give them jobs. Even if they found luck and managed to
get a job, they usually ended up being replaced fairly quickly.
