Growing Bean Plants

Conclusion:
Plants be it flowers or edible plants are often placed outside our homes, we can see
them in fields or just simply in someone’s backyard or garden. That’s why we thought
of this project because we want to know if a bean plant will grow more quickly outside
or inside.
Hypothesis:
There will be a big difference between growing a plant outside and inside because for
the fact that plants need sunlight to survive and a good environment for it to grow
healthy.
Experimentation:
We planted four beans in identical pots using the same type of soil. Placed two of them
outside and the other two inside. We choose the location wherein the four plants will
get the same sunlight. We took care of the plants in an identical way, like giving the
same amount of water. Then each day for 1 week we checked on them, we observed
and measured the plants.
Gathering the Data:
With the data that we gathered we recorded it and here are the results:

Plant 1 Plant 2 Plant 3 (inside) Plant 4 (inside)

(outside) (outside)
3 cm 3 cm 2 cm 2 cm

4 cm 4 cm 2 cm 2 cm

6 cm 6 cm 4 cm 4 cm

6 cm 6 cm 4 cm 4 cm

15.6 cm 15.6 cm 10 cm 10 cm

16 cm 16 cm Dead Dead

17.6 cm 17.6 cm Dead Dead

Conclusion:
Based on the data that we gathered, growing a bean plant outside has a lot more
difference than growing it inside. Because plants need a specific type of care that they
can only get outside like the temperature and the much more powerful sunlight. Just
like how a person can grow, we will grow outside our comfort zone.
