How to Reload the BIOS Default Settings

If your system is not able to boot into normal operation mode after an upgrade or reinstallation, some
of its BIOS settings may be configured incorrectly.

If required, get your system BIOS password from Barracuda Networks Technical Support.

To reset your system BIOS settings:

1. Establish a serial console connection with the system (19200 bit/s).


2. Power on the appliance and hold the Del key during the boot-up RAM test. Wait until the BIOS
screen opens.
3. If the BIOS screen does not open:
Hold ALT and simultaneously press 0.
Release 0 while holding ALT and simultaneously press 9.
Release 9 and then release ALT. The BIOS screen should open.
4. From the BIOS menu, select and execute Set to optimal defaults.
5. Save the new settings, exit the BIOS, and reboot the appliance.
