Special Education is the design and delivery of teaching and learning strategies for individuals with
disabilities or learning difficulties who may or may not be enrolled in regular schools. Students who need
special education may include students who have hearing impairment or are deaf, students who have
vision impairment or are blind, students with physical disabilities, students with intellectual disability,
students with learning difficulties, students with behaviour disorders or emotional disturbance, and
students with speech or language difficulties. Some students have a number of disabilities and learning
difficulties.

Q1- what is your teaching strategy in kids with learning disability

My main strategy in teaching children with learning disability is just to guide them, facilitate their
learning and let them know you are in their side supporting them. Children with learning disabilities are
not empty minded people, they have something in them that we special education teachers intend to
bring out in them and guide them so that these ideas, knowledge and infinite capacities they share will
be nurture at its finest.

Q2- how do you prepare yourself in teaching the said studies

Preparing yourself is just like preparing a boat that won't sink at the bottom of the sea. In that manner,
as their teacher we must always be able to be CREATIVE, because we nurture their ideas, be RELIABLE,
because what you teach to them will their source of information forever, be PATIENT, because we have
students that needs more time to show their beautiful wings before they can fly high.

Q3 - what difficulties do you encounter in the classroom and how do you deal with it.
Out of focus, stubbornness, and tantrums.
I deal these difficulties by treating my students normally. I ignore misbehavior so that i would be
punished and I counsel them when they need some.

Q4-what special training they provided and do you continuous education with the latest updates?
I read articles, law and practices how to deal with these children.

Q5- What would you do to integrate a student with learning disabilities in the classroom?
The best thing is to prepare them properly and just treat them normally.

Q6- What methods do you use to maintain discipline in your classroom?

I use reinforcement and punishment.

Q7-Describe a time you encountered a major challenge at work, and what you did to overcome that.
The major challenge I encountered is when my student cried in front of me because he didn't have an
answer to my question. By counseling, and saying "it's okay" and topping his shoulder surely provided
him courage to continue our lesson.
