pansan in athu ding bulh in kon phuah beh a, Staff-notation leh Tonic Sol-fa zang in kon gelh khia hi.
Pu-pa' lakaih kepbitna khat leng hi ding a, hiai tungtawn in khangthak lapawl siam leh music

Toupa'n thupina tang hen!

(English)
At the very onset, i would like to emphasize on how blessed we are to have
songs and dances that we, as a small tribe, can call our own. These traditional indigenous tunes and
drum rhythms that our forefathers have danced to and sung to for ages, however, seem to have
slowly lost their significance in our contemporary cultural scene with the passing of time.
Before the Gospel was heard in our land, our forefathers were known to have worshipped trees,
stones and practised black magic. Fortunately for us, God's divine grace and love reached us through
the spread of the Gospel and we became tribe or community of believers who now serves the
Living God. Hallelujah may His Name be praised!
Firstly, I have taken our indigenous traditinal folk tunes, rhythm and melody and added words
to them with Staff Notation and Tonic Sol-fa also in place.
Secondly, the purpose of this amalgamation of music is to preserve our traditional and cultural
haritage and also to inspire and allow our new generation choir groups (musically oriented) to
praise God using these traditional folk tunes. With all of these in mind, this SSATB mixed A
Cappella choral piece have been curated by me.
My humble wish is that this song based on our traditional folktunes be sung and used to praise and
worship God all over the world.
