 Low beamed ceilings continued to be a design statement but with whitewash, stucco recess
 Wall & ceiling paintings are more dominant, while wallpapers have more oriental motif.

-Cheaper fabrics use for draperies which can be drawn up or sideways to control more light and
warmth when needed
