Adjective or Adverb?
Many adverbs end in -ly, but not every word that ends in -ly is an
adverb. Remember that an adverb describes a verb and an
adjective describes a noun.

DIRECTIONS: Circle the -ly word in each sentence. On the line, write
whether the word is an adjective or an adverb.
