Benefits of Good Leadership in an Organization

“Leadership is influence”

-John C. Maxwel

A leader can either be the rise or the downfall of a company or firm depending on the
type of leadership a leader implements and to his/her followers. With leadership influence, it can
greatly impact the behaviors, direction and the overall performance the whole organization
decides to take. An effective and good leader is essential to a company. A strong leader will
make sure that the vision and values of the company are implemented on a daily basis while
boosting their morale and build a strong and happy relationship with his/her workmates. On the
other hand, an ineffective and bad leader does not appreciate of his/her employees. One also does
not immediately resolve conflicts within the organization and does not take responsible for
his/her actions.

If I were to become a manager in an organization, I will make sure to influence my team

in a positive way. Through setting goals as well as vision and mission, we will be able to
guarantee the success of the company that will benefit everyone including myself. I will also
make sure that team building activities are effective and that internal conflicts will be resolved
immediately to maintain a healthy and stress-free working environment. In addition, I will make
sure that the whole team is empowered and motivated and that the people working in the office
will not be afraid to share their ideas and concerns even if it is kind of personal. Most
importantly, the growth and development as well as the personal wellbeing of the team including
myself are my top priority.

Influence can mean a lot of things, but in business it can be defined as the process or
ability of a person to change and shape the behaviors or mindset of the employees to be similar
to yours. In a business workplace or in school, influence is important to a team leader.
