Leadership is one of the most sought-after skills to have when applying for anything,

from college to school organizations to finding a job. It is vital for a person to possess
this skill especially in a working environment as it would produce and introduce
influences on colleagues that would enhance their efficiency and capability to work and
as well as the overall efficiency within the organization. An organization can only
function effectively if the one that leads it possesses and puts in proper use the power
that they have in leading the entirety of the people. The process and the outcome of the
work that the employees have put through in making an organization strive is rooted
within the leadership skills of the ones on top.
The research provided aims to figure out how leadership and development skills of the
management directly impacts the performance of an organization’s employees within
the country. The research is of great essence as it would provide a wider perspective for
current and future leaders of the capacities a great leader must have and the insight of
employees themselves of what they think would be best suited for a leader, for
leadership is not mainly about the power or the one in position but only works if you are
able to make the people you serve to share the vision you believe in and inspire them to
reach goals together. The research has shed light on specific topics including the
influences of leadership in the culture of a company, how leadership creates a much
effective performance for the company, and how development of people from within the
company can be able to produce potential leaders. The researchers used an input-
process-output model in getting the conclusion for the study, and in doing so they also
conducted surveys with the use of a likert scale to assess several managers or leaders
of the different departments within the company. Overall, the survey and research
showed that team leadership and people development skills does have major influence
on increasing employees’ performance, morale, and potential on becoming leaders
themselves. It is with motivation and constant support that the employees are able to
work increasingly and motivates them to become a great leader themselves within the
organization.
The research showed great contrast of how leadership affects the performance of
people around them and has produced positive results. It has great potential on starting
a new study within a different company on how leadership skills can increase
productivity within a company and would likely increase the chances of having a much
more effective working environment. On the other hand, it is important to note that not
all organizations are the same and that there is no guarantee that all of the answers
within the surveys can be truthful especially if it comes to an employee rating their
bosses who they are under, a suggestion would be to conduct an interview as well or
face to face survey that would show whether or not the people taking the survey are
answering the questions in their much honest opinions.
There is no doubt that an effective work environment is the result of good management
and leadership skills within the organization, for without these skills and capabilities an
unproductive and chaotic chain of command would be happening within the company
resulting in many errors and difficulties that an organization can face. Having the set
skills of being a great leader really does set an individual apart from the rest, as with
great vision and drive, it will surely influence everyone especially those who are waiting
for your command in ensuring that the work and vision and drive that they have would
be put to good use. It is with a mission and initiative and gaining a great purpose for the
greater good of all that we strive for leadership within everyone around us.
