Tema 1 – Comparisons (use of comparatives)

Marylin Angelly

I am 21 years old, my sister Angelly is 19, I am taller and Slimer than Angelly, I am
sedentary, she is more active than me, Angelly´s eye color is lighter than my own, my hair is
longer than Angelly´s, my mouth is smaller than angelly´s, my sister is younger than me,
but she is also very active, our difference in skin tone, she has a lighter skin tone than me.
Tema 2. Activities in progress. (use of present continuous)

In the morning, laura is sleeping in her bed with her teddy bear
and blanket.

I´m making breakfast while Laura sleeps with her teddy bear.

My dad is drinking his morning coffe and reading a book.

Camilo is finishing his homework while Angelly takes care of Laura.

Laura is playing with her maraca while I do my university activities


Tema 3. Talking about routines. (Use of present simple)

He is my father, he is a social Communicator and has a very strict routine. He wakes up at


5:00 in the morning, he takes a bath and then he takes his breakfast, at 7:00 in the morning
he walks to his work, then returns home, at 12:30 pm he takes lunch, then sleeps and goes
back to work , he comes home at night, he takes a bath, then he drinks a tea and sleeps.
Tema 4. Talking about a town (use of prepositions – there is /there are)

I.
I live in the municipality Valle del Guamuez, a beautiful place where there is a lot of
nature, my house is between 8th and 9th Street near D1 shops, my house is central, so the
supermarkets are in front of my house, the church is between the park and the police
station, in front of the park there is a delicious ice cream place, in the ice cream parlor there
are many people, with my family we have ice cream on Sundays, we go to the market and it
is near a toy store, we always leave the cell phones on the table or in the bag, so we enjoy
the family walk in the village, then we return home.
