Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish is a young and brilliant singer, who has succeeded in accomplishing incredible things in a
short time. Most people would say she's living the 'dream' as one of today's most watched celebrities
with all these social media followers asking for updates from different platforms on a daily basis.

Billie Eilish is a pop culture icon. She's been called "the most famous person on Earth" and has worked
tirelessly to promote social justice, body positivity, climate change awareness, among other things
through her music career which currently spans more than 100 million records sold worldwide!

With a voice that beats records and art unlike any other, she has become one of the biggest names in
music. Her uncompromising attitude combined with her recent victories has made this young artist not
only popular, but also loved by both generationally as well as all over the world!

A passionate vegan and climate activist she gathered environmentalists for the "Overheated Climate
Event” to discuss how they can make their voices heard. Her latest endeavor is hosting an action-packed
weekend where artists, share ideas on what it will take in order maintain our planet's natural resources
while also engaging with policy makers so that we may create sustainable change.

Billie Eilish's world tour has been a veritable smorgasbord of green initiatives. She partnered with
REVERB, the nonprofit that partners with musicians and concert venues to make events more eco-
friendly by offering plant based foods at their shows as well as eliminating disposable waste through
recycling programs like paper towels or bubble wrap for instance; in addition, she works hard on
offsetting emissions from the lights used during performances so it will have zero negative impact upon
our environment!

Eilish's commitment to protecting the environment is reflected in both her music and her performances.
For example, she performed at Global Citizen Live concerts in September 2021 where proceeds went
towards raising money for fighting climate change, as well making sure no one goes hungry or becomes
homeless because of a lack of resources like food insecure nations have been experiencing since the
pandemic.

Eilish's mother is also a fierce advocate for plant-based meals. She started the nonprofit Support + Feed
in 2020 to combat food insecurity and climate change by advocating an equitable global shift towards
more vegetables!

Eilish is also not afraid to speak out against body shaming. Eilish has always worn baggy clothes as a way
to express her identity and create a space for herself in the fashion world. She made baggie clothes,
trendy again. In 2021, she experimented with her look on the cover of fashion magazine Vogue wearing
an Alexander McQueen corset. I’m sure she pondered on this decision for a while since she’s not
accustomed to showing much skin. I think she looked beautiful. During her interview she declares “My
body was what led me into depression when I was younger because everyone seemed so focused on
how it looked instead of who am."

After the sexy cover, she became the subject of online hateful comments criticizing her body. In
response, she posted a video titled "Not My Responsibility" on YouTube where she stripped down
garment by garment while criticizing strangers — mostly men — for judging someone else without
asking: 'though you've never seen my naked form before, you still judge me--and always will.'

With 105 million IG followers, Her influence has allowed her to speak up for other issues that are
important to her, such as addressing racial discrimination and white privilege. After the 2020 murder of
African-American George Floyd by a police officer, she made a post under the hashtag #blacklivesmatter
to bring everyone's attention to the problem. She also shared the links to a documentary she co-
produced "They Are Trying to Kill Us" that shows how much racism still exists today.
