ANNOTATION

OBJECTIVE 16

Applied a personal philosophy of teaching that is learner-

centered.

In crafting my lesson plan that merely

focusing on the topic “Bullying”, I used
existentialism and behaviorism as the basis for
planning and designing my activities. It is
evident that during the presentation of the
lesson and in instruction of given activities the
teacher ask the students if they are
experiencing bullying in real life and if not the
students are ask to put themselves in the shoe
of a bullied person.
The existentialist teacher is not the center of
the instruction but rather a facilitator. The goal
is to help students better understand who they
are as individuals. This also means that the
student should have a choice in what they
learn and that the curriculum needs to be
somewhat flexible.
While the idea of behaviorism is learning
based on the idea that all behaviors are
acquired through conditioning, and
conditioning occurs through interaction with
the environment. Behaviorists believe that our
actions are shaped by environmental stimuli
