Rules & Regulations of Jakarta E-Prix Esports Championship 2022

1. Competition

The Jakarta E-Prix Esports Championship 2022 (“Event”) is an Esports competition,


based on the Assetto Corsa (PC platform) simulation developed by Kunos Simulazioni,
dedicated to virtual drivers.

The competition is reserved for Drivers who have successfully registered via the official
website and qualified for top 22 in the Pre-Qualifying Phase.

1.1 Schedule
1. Pre-Qualifying (Ancol): : 9 – 11 May 2022
2. Round 1 (Senayan Circuit) : 18 May 2022 20.30 GMT+7
3. Round 2 (Medan Merdeka Circuit) : 25 May 2022 20.30 GMT+7
4. Round 3 (Ancol Circuit) : 1 June 2022 20.30 GMT+7

2. Participants Eligibility

1. Indonesian Nationality;
2. Minimum age of 14 Years Old;
3. Agree with Terms & Conditions of this regulation;
4. Meet the software requirements

3. Participation

All drivers who would like to participate in the pre-Qualifying sessions must meet the
following requirements:

3.1 Software Requirements


1. Own an original copy of Assetto Corsa by Kunos Simulazione on Steam (PC
Version);
2. Own a Driver profile in game with real Forename and Surname
3. Own a Discord with real Forename and Surname

3.2 Hardware Requirements


1. PC or Laptop that meets the game minimum requirements;
2. Internet connection with max ping of 200ms from race servers;
3. Wheel and Pedal sets
4. Gaming Joystick
5. Keyboard and Mouse

3.3 Driver Names


1. In-game Driver names must be the real ones and must not contain any of the
following: nicknames, acronyms, obscene or suggestive language, corporation,
company, sponsor, or product;
2. Drivers who attempt to change their in-game name may be disqualified from the
event.

3.4 Qualifying for The Competition

Drivers have the chance to participate in the pre-qualifying phase without any cost.
Furthermore, drivers must meet the following requirements:

1. Meet driver eligibility requirements;


2. Registration through official Discord;
3. Pay IDR 300.000 to continue to the Championship, should the driver Qualify in the
top 22 during the Pre-Qualifying Stage;
4. Own a driver profile in game with a real forename and surname;
5. Join the Official Discord Channel with a real forename and surname.

4. Event Format & Regulations

The competition is divided into the following phases:

1. Jakarta E-Prix Esports 2022 Pre-Qualifying Phase;


2. Jakarta E-Prix Esports 2022 Main Championship Phase.

4.1 Pre-Qualifying Phase

Available to any driver who completed the registration on the website is eligible to participate
in the JVSC Pre-qualifying phase. Server details will be sent to drivers’ discord shortly after
registration success.

1. Participants will use the Formula E Mod on Assetto Corsa


2. Only the top 22 Drivers will have a chance to compete in the Jakarta E-Prix Esports
Championship 2022;
3. Pre-Qualifying server opens for 24 Hours;
4. Driving Assists:
a. Traction Control: Allowed
b. ABS: Allowed
c. Stability Control: Not Allowed
d. Ideal Line: Not Allowed
e. Auto-Clutch: Allowed
f. Automatic Gearbox: Not Allowed
g. Engine Start: Automatic
h. Pit Limiter: Manual
5. Car Setups: Restricted
6. The leaderboard will be on the Official Discord channels where all leaders can check
their lap-time. Please note the leaderboards update every 2-3 Hours.

4.2 General Rules


1. Drivers must be in the top 22 during the Pre-Qualifying Phase
2. If a driver withdraws, the entry will be given to the next driver outside the top 22
during the Pre-Qualifying Phase
3. Driving assists: Please refer to 4.1 above
4. Car Setups: No restrictions
5. Drivers must join the Drivers Briefing before the Qualifying Session of every round
on the Official Discord Voice Channel, Drivers who do not join, will not be permitted
to race the Round.
6. Drivers must join the Team Speak Channel During Qualifying and Race Session.
Drivers who do not join, will not be permitted to race.
7. On points equality the driver who scored more of the highest finishes receives the
advantage. On equality of the number of highest positions, the driver with the higher
number of their second highest position and so on;
8. If all positions show equality, the highest qualifying results are compared;
9. If all qualifying times are equal, then whoever finishes ahead in the final race of the
season will be deemed to be the winner.

4.3 Car Liveries


1. Drivers must use the Official Liveries for Jakarta E-Prix Esports Championship 2022

4.4 Race Format


1. Free Practice: 30 Minutes
2. Qualifying
a. Following Formula E Qualifying format
b. On Round 1 of Jakarta E-Prix Esports Championship 2022, the ranking will be
determined through the Pre-Qualifying Phase Leaderboards
c. 107% Rule will apply, drivers who do not meet the 107% time of qualifying will
not be permitted to race unless given consent by the race director
3. Race

a. The Race will be a single sprint race of 30 minutes


b. No pitstop is required
c. Live Stewarding
d. In-Game Penalties

4.5 Red Flag & Restart


1. If there is a catastrophic network failure which affects the lobby host, the following
procedure will be followed.
a. If a failure happens within the first 10% of the race (defined by the race
leading car), the race will be red flagged and restarted from the beginning,
with competitors taking their initial grid starting position. The red flag time may
continue to count towards to the total time, at the discretion of the race
officials.
b. If a failure happens between 10-90% of the race (defined by the race leading
car), the race will be red flagged and the race will restart with the competitors
taking their positions at the start of the lap prior to when the failure occurred.
The red flag time will continue to count towards to the total time, at the
discretion of the race officials.
c. If a failure occurs in the final 10% of the race, the race will be red flagged, the
result will stand as of the last lap completed by the car leading the race.
2. Should a technical red flag be required:
a. Drivers should line up in single file order behind the start finish line. No
overtaking is permitted.
b. The timekeeping will not be halted
c. The officials may take the decision to stop and/or modify the driving time and
will be communicated to the teams
d. The race restart time will be communicated using Teamspeak and/or Discord
3. In the event of technical or network failure with the broadcast/organisers game, the
Race Director has the authority, at their discretion, to restart that specific stage or
race even if competitors are unaffected.
4. Should a race need to be restarted it would be using a single-file rolling grid with the
positions correct as of the last full lap completed by the car leading the race.
5. In the event of technical or network failure with the broadcast/organisers game, the
Race Director has the authority, at their discretion, to restart the race at any point,
even if competitors are unaffected.
6. A catastrophic network failure is defined by a connection or server issue which
affects a minimum of 3 teams at the same time.

4.7 Penalties
There are several types of penalties issued in this competition. It is important that the
competitors are aware of differences between them and how to act when each type of
penalty is received.
• Reprimand – The Race Director or their assistant may warn a driver or team prior to
additional sanctions at their discretion. These warnings will be officially recorded and
may be used when deciding subsequent penalties
• Drive Through Penalty - As appropriate, the Race Director or Assistant Race Director
can apply a time penalty at their discretion.
• Time Penalty (Post-Race) –The Race Director or their assistant may decide to add
time or laps to a team’s car after the race.
• Disqualification – in extreme circumstances the race officials may find the actions,
attitude or behaviour of a competitor/team to be contrary to the spirit of the
competitions and find that this is worthy of a disqualification. This can apply to drivers
and teams. If a driver is disqualified the team must ensure this driver is not used in
the remainder of the event

4.8 Post-Race Appeal


1. Post-Race Appeal window will open after the finish of the Race for a duration of 30
minutes;
2. Drivers will be required to submit in the format provided by the organizers on the
Official Discord Protest Channel;
3. There is no form of protest or appeal for any penalty decisions made by the race
officials

5. Code of Conduct
1. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects
positively on the organisers (and any of its affiliates), press, attendees, and other
participants and comply with all applicable law and regulation at all times.
2. Participants shall not engage in conduct which the organisers deem to be harmful to
the business, reputation or relationships of an individual or of their partners.
3. No forms of cheating, gameplay, gamesmanship or gaining an unfair advantage in
any way will be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
a. Hardware modification - Any modification made to a piece of hardware
allowing it to function in a way the manufacturer did not intend. This includes
adding or inserting anything not originally on the hardware configured by the
organisers.
b. Hacking - Any modification made to the game or other software by any
person other than by way of standard software patches or updates.
c. Exploiting game glitches - Intentionally using any in-game bug to seek an
advantage. Exploiting is defined as utilising any game function that, in the
sole determination of the organisers, is not functioning as intended.
d. Impersonation (including playing under another driver’s account) - to be
understood as playing under another driver’s account or soliciting, inducing,
encouraging or directing someone else to play under another driver’s
account.
e. Collusion - Any agreement among two (2) or more participants and/or other
persons to affect any competition or race and/or opposing drivers.
4. Any other behaviour as determined to be cheating, gameplay, gamesmanship or
gaining an unfair advantage in any way.
5. Participants are responsible for notifying the organisers at the earliest opportunity of
any form of cheating, gameplay, gamesmanship or gaining an unfair advantage by
any other Participant that they know of.
6. Competitors must notify the organisers of any unfair exploits that they become aware
of. Any Participant who is deemed, in the sole determination of the organisers, to
have cheated or behaved in any way as described above may be penalised and/or
disqualified
7. No betting or gambling by any participant or anyone connected to any participant, is
allowed under any circumstances. Moreover, no competitor or related person may
benefit directly or indirectly from any betting or gambling
8. Participants shall not offer or accept any gift or reward to or from anyone for services
promised, rendered, or to be rendered in connection with the event.
9. Participants must be respectful of the staff involved in the tournament organisers,
sponsors, and/or partners at all times. Participants must not use obscene gestures,
language, or offensive comments, including:
a. Hate speech or discriminatory behaviour - Participants may not use language
that is deemed by the organisers to be obscene, foul, vulgar, insulting,
threatening, abusive, libellous, slanderous, defamatory or otherwise offensive
or objectionable; or promote or incite hatred or discriminatory conduct, in or
near any racing area, at any time, off or on broadcast. Participants may not
use any facilities, services or equipment provided or made available by the
organisers or its contractors to post, transmit, disseminate or otherwise make
available any such prohibited communications. Participants may not use this
type of language on social media or during any public facing events such as
streaming.
b. Violent or physical aggression or behaviour - abuse of the organisers, its
affiliates, or other participants will not be tolerated.
c. Harassment of any kind - is strictly prohibited. Harassment is defined as
systematic, hostile and repeated acts taking place over a considerable period
of time, which are intended to isolate or ostracize a person and/or affect the
dignity of the person
d. Discriminatory words, phrases, or gestures - Offending the dignity or integrity
of a private person, or group of people, a team, a brand, a sponsor, a country,
through contemptuous or discriminatory words or actions on account of race,
skin colour, ethnic, national or social origin, gender, language, religion,
political opinion or any other opinion, financial status, birth or any other status,
sexual orientation or any other reason will not be tolerated.
e. Trolling - Any participant who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic
messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with
the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of
otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Any conduct that is deemed
to be in violation of this Code of Conduct is punishable at the sole discretion
of the organisers and may result in disqualification from the Jakarta E-Prix
Esports Series.
10. Drivers and/or competitors posting negative, disruptive and brand damaging content
on social media about the organisers, and their partners in general and/or any other
participant, including but not limited to images and videos of game faults, may result
in the participant (accordingly) being withdrawn from the Competition. Positive and
engaging content is highly encouraged, as long as the content is from areas
permitted by the organisers.
11. Rallying other drivers to forfeit the competition - Any drivers found to be instigating
forfeits from other drivers will be removed. This includes creating group
conversations on any platform asking other drivers to retire/forfeit.
6. Prize Money Split
There will be a prize money pool of IDR 50.000.000

6.1 Prize Money Eligibility


● In order for a driver to be eligible for prize money for the competition, they will be
required to have joined all sessions hosted, Qualifying & Race.

7. The Organizers reserve the rights to update and change the regulations at any time.
