and teachers who helped them to succeed in creating this research study.

agreed to be a part of their study, who answered veraciously on the survey

Abstract

The knowledge of the students is the major priority of the school since it holds
the mental health of the students that should be always observed. This study aims to
know the student’s preferences of acquiring knowledge between textbooks and
dictations performed by the educators of Letran de Davao Inc. In this study the
researchers focuses on the answers of 30 respondents through a survey questionnaire.
A quantitative non-experimental research design is used in the study with a descriptive
type of survey in gathering data result. Result shows that 73% of the respondents prefer
textbooks and the 23% of the respondents prefer dictation as a means of acquiring
knowledge. The researchers identify that most of the students of Letran de Davao Inc.
are visual learners. In conclusion, the students balances their self in reading textbooks
and listening to the lessons of the educators for them to gather more information and
knowledge in school and they are not just focusing on what they hear or read but also
ensuring their selves to search for moe alternative way of learning.
