Bike and Build LAWRENCE, KS A cross-country cycling group that includes KU graduate Rebecca Cremer, will pass through Lawrence this week[July 12-14]. Cremer and a group of 32 riders will give XX presentations on affordable housing and spend a day building with Lawrences Habitat for Humanity before they continue on their 4,025 mile journey. Affordable HOUSING stats Between days of riding 60-100 miles, they stay on church floors and in homeless shelters between riding 60-100 miles a day. In ___ the biggest gift the community gave them was gathering REAL mattresses for them to sleep on for a whole night! To bars ### Bike & Build is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 to help raise money and awareness for affordable housing. Bike & Build helps organize youth led cross-country cycling trips. Each year they organize eight different trips that all run from the east coast to the west coast. Summer after summer Bike & Build has about 250 riders.
