USER’S GUIDE for Spreadsheet GROUP SCREENING TEST

CHECKER AND PHIL IRI FORM 1A/1B Generator

This user guide will help you teachers on how to use the spreadsheet on GST Checker
and Form 1A/1B generator. No need to worry anymore on the circumstances that you
might be able to distort the format or the formulas in the spreadsheet for it is
protected.
Just follow the instructions given below and you will have no problem in using the
spreadsheet. Hope this would be of great help to you and thank you.

Steps in using the system:

 
1. Choose and open the file of the GST Checker that you wish to use.
For example: GST Checker Grade 5 English

2. After opening the file, input the necessary data needed in the Data Input GST Eng 5
Sheet as shown below.
3. After filling up the necessary information, encode the reponses of the learners in Input of
Response GST Eng 5 Sheet.
In this sheet, the answer key is already provided, the names of the learners will also be
reflected that you have encoded in the previous sheet. and all you need to do is to input the
responses of the learners using the coding below.
4. The responses of learners using the coding will be interpreted in the next sheet
“Responses GST Eng 5” but this sheet is protected and is hidden.

5. Then these data is being automatically checked by the spreadsheet by assigning score as
“1” if the learner got the correct response in Scoring GST Eng 5 sheet.
6. Lastly, after inputting all information needed and encoding of responses, the PHIL IRI
Form 1A / 1B will be generated ready for printing. In this form all the data you have
encoded will be reflected, correct responses were counted by level (literal, inferential, and
critical) and more especially the starting point grade level of the learner if it assessed that
the leaner will need to take the PHI IRI graded passages.
7. For file of soft copy, save the file with the file name
