The hydrostatic shell test pressure shall be applied as per section 8 of this procedure and after stabilisation (if necessary) shall be maintained for a specified time as per section 7.1 of this procedure. During the holding time the entire surface of the valve and the body/bonnet/adaptor joint, shall be examined and there shall no visible drops, or sweating, or humidity. Upon completion of the hydrostatic shell test the pressure shall be released leaving the valve body cavity filled with water and turn the valve in closed position. 10.2 HYDRAULIC HIGH PRESSURE SEAT TEST WITH THE VALVE IN CLOSED POSITION (TEST MEDIUM WATER) ‘The seat on each side of the valves shall be subject to separate seat test. The other section of the valve, adjacent tothe pressure seat, shall be pressured at the pressure specified in section 8 of this procedure and held for the specified time as per section 7.2 of this procedure. During the holding period the leakage rate across the seat shall be measured at the body vent hole after a stabilisation period. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA AS PER SECTION 9 OF THIS PROCEDURE.
