REFLECTION ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE IN CCU

(MARCH 24-26 2022)

We all know that CCU is the ward that provides critical care for the patient with

serious or acute heart problems. During the days that I have been assigned in this area

I’ve learned a lot about different procedures, medications and more information about

the diseases that we can actually encounter in hospital settings. Even though those

things were already tackled during our class session, this exposure refreshen all those

things that we needed in this area. I experienced putting electrodes on actual patients,

changing the sheets, diapers, providing care, attending to their needs and experienced

how to be a CCU nurse for a short period of time. Also, we practiced how to put an IV to

a patient, we learned some techniques and proper handling of the cannula. It was also

discussed to us what are the components or what are the things that were in E-cart.

More importantly, I learned how things work inside CCU.
