(Individual activity)
1. Use a graphing paper in connecting number combinations. Start with a point at the middle
then move it going to the right, up, left and down directions. Move the points based from the
number of units in the given combination, from the first number followed by the next number
up to the last then go back to the first number following the counterclockwise direction.
Continue the process until the point landed to the starting point.
Provide your own combinations of 3 and 9 numbers. Avoid repetition of number to come up
with different patterns. Use pencil and ruler in doing the activity then trace it with permanent
ink to highlight the pattern. Two examples are given below. (15 pts)
EXAMPLES
a. (1, 2, 3 combination)
From the starting point… move 1 unit to the right… 2 units upward, 3 units to the left, 1 down… 2 right, 3 up…
continue the process … 1 left… 2 down… 3 to the right… 1 up, 2 left and last move 3 units downward. (Stop when
the last direction pointed to the initial point, do not stop until the figure is rotated in counterclockwise direction)
b. 2, 3, 5, 8, 6, 9, 4, 1, 7
