Quarter: 3rd Quarter- Geometry 

CONTENT STANDARD:

 The learner demonstrates understanding of polygons, circles, and solid figures.  

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:

 The learner is able to construct and describe polygons, circles, and solid figures.  

Goal: Students must create an art using polygons, circles, and solid figures that promotes the
beauty of mathematics. 

Role:  Artist 

Audience: The target audience are all the students and teachers in the school since the output
will be displayed in the art room of the school. However, only the adviser (Math Teacher) will
give ratings to the artworks. 

Situation: On the upcoming 23rd of March, the school will be celebrating the World’s Math
Day. In connection to the celebration, the school prepares various activities for students and one
of these is the Creative Art Design. This year’s theme for Creative Art Design is all about
Geometry particularly in polygons, circles and solid figures. Each section must have a
representative in the said competition. Thus, all students of Grade 5- Sunshine must create their
own creative art design. Out of those polygons, circles, and solid figures, students will create
their art that promotes the beauty of Mathematics. The chosen output will be the class entry for
the competition. Artworks that aren’t chosen will be used as design in the culminating activity.
After which, all artwork will be placed in the art room of the school. 

Product: Students are expected to produce a Creative Art Design out of polygons, circles, and
solid figures. 

Standard: The students will be rated accordingly to the following standards: Understanding,
Craftsmanship/ skill, and Creativity/ Originality.
