The person in the photo above is no other than Henry Sy who is mostly known for being
one of the wealthiest men not only in the Philippines but also in the whole world. He is known in
the Philippines for being the owner of the famous SM supermarket and the NU (National
University). I really admire him because of his background story in life on how he succeeded on
achieving successful business. His background story teaches me that even if I am born poor or
not that wealthy enough, I can still be rich and become successful if I work hard enough and
dedicate my time on doing what I want to become successful. His journey is not that easy
because he started with almost nothing and his time is near the World War II meaning that he has
every reason to stop but his desire to become successful overcomes the circumstances that he is
in.
What his achievements say about the quality of education is that being able to graduate
from FEU will boost up a person’s knowledge on his career that is sufficient to make himself
successful. He one of the greatest alumni of the FEU which transcends every obstacle. The
things that he learned from FEU together with experience assisted himself to become
knowledgeable more about business that eventually helped him in his future investments and
decisions in life. His achievements reflect on what an FEU graduate can achieve in life and the
spirit of never giving up despite the challenges thrown that summarizes the quote “Be Brave”. It
also portrays that if Henry Sy studied at FEU long ago then achieved great heights, then a person
who would be studying now in FEU which is more advanced and advantageous throughout the
years can assist a student more and would eventually help him/her succeed in life
