Exercises
Exercise 1: In the voltage divider circuit of Fig. 3.2(A), compute for the output voltage if the
values for the circuit parameters are as follows
a) VIN = 24 V, R1 = 50Ω, R2 = 100Ω
b) VIN = 24 V, R1 = 100Ω, R2 = 50Ω
c) VIN = 24 V, R1 = 100Ω, R2 = 100Ω
=(
100+100 )
24
C). V out 100=12 V
Exercise 2: In the voltage divider circuit of Fig. 3.2(B), compute for the output voltage if the
values for the circuit parameters are as follows
(24)(100)(50)
a ¿ . V out = =15V
( 20 ) ( 100 ) + ( 20 ) ( 50 ) +(100)(50)
(24)(100)(100)
b ¿ . V out = =17.14 V
( 20 ) ( 100 ) + ( 20 ) ( 100 )+(100)(100)
(24 )( 100)(200)
c ¿ .V out = =18.46 V
( 20 )( 100 )+ ( 20 )( 200 ) +(100)(200)
.
