2.0 Overview and Objectives of The Future of Work programme (FOW) :

The Future of Work programme is designed and developed to equip you with up-to-date knowledge to be career
ready and know-hows that will enable and empower you to build a promising career in the 21st century. The Future
of Work programme has three main paths which aims to provide an opportunity for the path you specifically choose
in your application stage;

a. Digital Entrepreneur Pathway - This pathway is for those who would like a career as a freelancer. You will
learn to market yourself and earn additional income.

b. Digital Career Pathway - For those intending to seek a full time career. You will learn to build a thriving
career and secure growth opportunities.

c. Custom Pathway - Mostly suited for retrenched workers or people with work experience that are currently
unemployed, giving you the opportunity to pick the courses that best suit your learning needs.

2.1 Programme Structure

The program is delivered virtually using a hybrid learning approach that incorporates the below.

➔ Pre programme survey , Mid programme survey, Post phase 1 survey, Post programme Survey, and progress
impact surveys that you are required to complete during the duration of the programme;
➔ Asynchronous Learning (learn at your own pace, completing the chosen courses and quizzes during phase 1.
Compulsory quizzes and optional templates to assist your journey, various online Resources to support self
learning)
➔ Synchronous Virtual Learning (Group consultation sessions and question submissions [Office Hours] );
➔ Application of learning outcomes in personal & professional development;
➔ 1 month of project placement with an SME for phase 2
➔ Monthly mentoring sessions for a whole year

2.2 Programme Schedule

The table below shows the schedule for the overall programme. Please refer to Appendix 1 for the 12- week
transformative learning programme schedule.

17th October 2022 - 14th Phase two: Conditional Project placement

November 2022 * ● Upon graduation (See annex 3.0 for requirements) you will be
required to commit to a 1 month incentivized project
placement with an SME under our programme to gain work
experience and get a chance to practice what you have learnt
thus far.

November 2022 to August 2023

2.3 Programme Commitments:

● You are committing to a 12-week transformative training programme to prepare you for a thriving career
in the path of your choice.

● Upon the completion of your modules and fulfillment of the candidate requirements stated below, you will
be placed with one of the SMEs participating in our programme to get a working experience. This group
placement will be a paid placement of RM500 for your four-week involvement. During the stint, you will be
assisting the SME in their journey towards digital transformation.

● You are also committing to report your progress with us, along with your income data every quarter, over
the next 1 year by completing our impact survey.

This scholarship opportunity is intended to support you in building and sustaining a thriving career and to
increase your chances at better employability. The income and career progress data collected from you will
be used to further fine-tune the effectiveness of the programme. The data will also enable us to provide you
with additional feedback and support where needed. All information provided will be kept confidential and
data will only be presented in an accumulated presentation.

● Hours of Commitment during the overall transformative learning programme

○ 2 to 3 hours of bite-sized lessons

○ 4 to 5 hours of live consultation sessions

○ 15-25 hours of bite-sized lessons, quizzes, templates and reading materials.

(You will be able to take up the course at your own pace as long as it is completed within the
two month frame)

● Upon the completion of your modules and fulfillment of the candidate requirements below, you will be
expected to commit to a month with one of the SMEs in our programme to get working experience.

● You will be required to attend mentorship sessions (90 minutes every month for 1 year upon your
availability)

3.0 Candidate Requirements

You will receive an allowance worth RM 100 upon completion of the 8-week transformative learning programme
(Phase 1). If you fail to meet the minimum commitments and requirements, you will not be eligible for the allowance
and certificate.

The requirements that you are required to meet to claim the RM100 programme allowance are:

● A steady commitment by watching the recorded webinar sessions

● Scoring of 80% and above for all quizzes

● Attendance to live Office Hours (consultation) is not mandatory, but highly encouraged to get the most out
of the programme.

The requirements that you are required to meet to claim the RM500 project placement allowance are:

● 100% attendance and commitment to the 4 week Project Placement with an SME that you are placed with
(equivalent to a commitment of a full time job)**
** Specific hours of commitment may differ across different SMEs

3.1 Absence

a. Attendance to the training sessions is highly encouraged but if you are unable to attend for unforeseen
reasons, kindly communicate to the Project Manager by sending an email to
digitalentrepreneur@mereka.my or via Discord.

b. Permissions for absence are considered on a case-by-case basis, at the discretion of the Project Manager.

3.2 Dropping Out

a. Should you wish to drop out of the programme you would be required to inform the Project Manager along
with the reason for dropping out by submitting an email to digitalentrepreneur@mereka.my and completing
a short survey.

b. There will be a penalty fee of RM100 that will be charged to you if you wish to drop out of the programme
without a valid reason and without informing the programme team.

4.0 Media Consent

By signing this Contract/Agreement, you hereby consent for Me.reka, and/or its partners to take your photographs,
digital images and/or audio and/or video footage (the images) of and to store the images, make copies of the images
and publish the images in any form, in whole or in part, and distribute them in any medium including, but not limited
to, print media, the Internet/ social media, CD-ROM, other multimedia uses or graphic representation,
cinematography, postings or video.

5.0 Confidentiality of Information

Personal information and other personal related matters are treated strictly as Private and Confidential matters.

◻️ By signing this agreement, I acknowledge and will abide to the terms and conditions of this programme and I
hereby declare that my income bracket falls into the B40 group. I have provided proof of verification through past
applications to government schemes (e.g. Bantuan Prihatin/ BKM, etc.) and If I have not applied to one before, I
will apply to any available upcoming schemes and provide proof of verification of my B40 status to Me.reka within
3-8 months from the start of the programme at my earliest convenience.
