FINAL EXAMINATION IN
THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD
TEST 1: REFLECTION
Determine what you have learned in your subject The Contemporary World
(the knowledge that serves as your foundation to stand and keep); the things you have
realized and appreciated (attitude towards learning) and the things that you have
discovered (skills that you will cherish in life).
1. Things I have learned (knowledge): 10 pts.
I’ve learned a lot in this unit from globalization, world regions” the
difference of regionalization and regionalism, market integration, the
global interstate system, theories of the formations of alliances after the
world wars, the global citizenships and the world of ideas and religion of
globalization, till to making and voids on editing, etc.
2. Things I have realized and appreciated (attitudes): 10 pts.
I’m thankful for the things you’ve made for us sir, just in a simple sharing
of ideas and inspirational words. Through to those doing I’ve realized
some matter like “two heads are better than one”, that you can’t
accomplish in one sitting tons of work if you’re alone, call a friend if
needed and don’t make yourself suffer from too much stress. Then I
appreciate your persistence in teaching us po sir, even though sometimes
or maybe all the time that you haven’t gotten a response from us every
time you ask questions. I am sorry for that sir and thank you for being with
us till the end.
1. Ana Malsch and Alan Ormoto said: “I feel a sense of connection to people all
over the world, even if I don’t know them personally”. 30pts
In a situation like finding the person you spend your life with, there are 7 plus
billion people in the world isn’t it hard for us to find the one that is destined for us
without the connection we sense to each other. Based on environmental
principles, everything is connected to everything else. Therefore, the bond we
have with each other is a mark of unity, we don’t need to know every individual to
have a connection with one another. As long as, we sense the importance of our
existence.
2. Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution—And How It Can
Renew America is a book by New York Times Foreign Affairs columnist Thomas
Friedman, proposing that the solutions to global warming and the best method to
regain the United States' economic and political stature in the world are to
embrace the clean energy and green technology industries. The title derives from
the convergence of Hot (global warming), Flat (globalization, as discussed in
Friedman's book The World Is Flat) and Crowded (population growth). 30pts
Humans are molded by supremacy, we lead and control our nature as the
supreme creation among others. Have we ever cared to take a look at the
situation of our nature and environment? It seems like no one sees the darkness
crowded in the world. As time goes on, there are a lot of things we started to lose
and the world suffers the most, selfishness greed. We destroy a part of nature to
expand the place where we live and it results to be crowded enough that makes
the air polluted and change the atmosphere and climates over time. We are the
greatest enemy of this world and nothing else, destroying nature, creates a more
population, we should stop. Let’s start with the place we use to live and bring
back lights again in this world. We should learn to appreciate the things we have
because if we don't it will hunt us back.
