Aims of the Project
• Provide Landmark Estates Development with more in-depth
information and enhance current knowledge on key
legislation regarding planning and building regulations and
how they have changed through time
• Research prosecutions and penalties for noncompliance of
legislation, so the organisation is more aware and acts
accordingly
• Overall, the project is beneficial for the company because
without knowledge of such policies , property development
could not legally commence

Wider Aims of the Project
• A wider aim is to assist society by counteracting the rising housing
crisis. In the UK, the supply of housing has not been keeping up with
demand (Crisis, 2012)
• Building Regulations are intended to protect people's safety and health.
Regulations are also designed to improve conservation of energy and
protect the environment (NiDirect, 2015)
• When people are unable to access suitable housing, it can result in
overcrowding and impaired labour mobility, which increases poverty
and homelessness (Barton and Wilson, 2022)
• Thus, the project will aim to benefit society, alongside benefitting the
company
