Focus on CSIR eGovernance Centre of Excellence

eGovernance focuses on integrative planning and investment decision support

instead of disjointed practises.

The role of enterprise architecture and engineering concepts in applying eGovernance for the development,
translation and integration of government systems plans into initiatives and projects, are researched and applied.
It will allow the confidence that plans are founded on robust scientific information and the latest in eGovernance
knowledge and best practices.

The Centre of Excellence is established to develop an eGovernance capability for strategic plan execution
governance purposes in defence, government and State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

The benefits of historical and future systems landscape information will be distilled and combined with
measurements to produce a set of indicators regarding system strategies, plans, investments and governance
towards electronic plan generation and intergovernmental execution tracking, tailored to inform stakeholders
involved with, for example; system strategies, planning, monitoring and evaluation aspects.
