1. Those considered by Kailash Satyarthi as his daughters-_______
2. The biggest challenge knocking on the doors of humankind.

We have made progress in the last couple of decades. We have reduced the number of out-of school
children by half. We have reduced the number of child labourers by a third. We have reduced child mortality and
malnutrition, and we have prevented millions of child deaths.
But, let us make no mistake, great challenges still remain. Friends! The biggest challenge or biggest crisis knocking on
the doors of humankind is fear and intolerance.
We have utterly failed our children in imparting an education. An education that gives the

meaning and objective of life. An education that gives a sense of global citizenship among the youth. I am afraid that
the day is not very far away when the cumulative result of this failure, will culminate in an unprecedented violence,
and that will be suicidal for humankind. Rights, security, hope can only be restored through education. Young
people like Malala ... I’ve started calling her my daughter Malala not just Malala ... So my daughter Malala and other
daughters including Kayanat.. in fact.. two Kayanats, and Shazia, and the daughters from Africa, and from all over
theworld. They are rising up and choosing peace over violence, tolerance over extremism, and courage over fear.
The solutions are emerging. But these solutions cannot be found in the deliberations in conferences alone, and
cannot be found in prescriptions from a distance.
They lie in small groups and local organisations and individuals, who are confronting with the problem every day.
Even if they remain unacknowledged, unrecognised and unknown to the world the solution are with them

In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

When God at first made Man,

Having a glass of blessings standing by;
Let us (said He) “pour on him all we can:”
Let the worlds riches, which dispersed lie,
Contract into a span.

So strength first made a way;

Then beauty flow’d, then wisdom, honour, pleasure:
When almost all was out, God made a stay,
Perceiving that alone of all His treasures
Rest in the bottom lay

For if I should (said He)

Bestow this jewel also on my creature,
He would adore my gifts instead of me,
And rest in Nature, not the God of Nature.
So both should losers be.
Yet let him keep the rest,
But keep them with repining restlessness:
Let him be rich and weary, that at last,
If goodness lead him not, yet weariness
May toss him to my breast.

Motor transport is killing us! So says Dr. Anuradha Lal of DHI (Doctors for a Healthy India) which met in Delhi
yesterday. Thousands of people die every year in traffic accidents, Even more people die because they breathe
polluted air from motor vehicles. (Delhi is one of the most polluted cities in the world.) So what is the answer? DHI
says we should make cycling easier. Dr. Lal outlined six reasons why :

(1) Most Indian cities are very polluted because every motor vehicle produces dirty fumes. Doctor says that city air is
so dirty that thousands of people die every year from chest illnesses. Cycling is clean because it produces no fumes.

(2) Cyclists don't have to spend on petrol, so bicycles are cheap to run. Cycle repairs are cheaper than motor repairs
too because bicycles are quite simple machines.

(3) Bicycles save money for our country too. All motor vehicles need petrol, which comes from oil. India does not
produce much oil so we have to buy it from other countries. But we don't need to buy anything from foreign
countries to ride bicycles.

(4) If we get exercise every day, we become healthy. Cycling keeps us fit. Driving motor vehicles does not!

(5) In cities, sometimes traffic doesn't move at all as there is not enough space on the roads. Bicycles are too small to
take up much road space.

(6) Motor traffic is very noisy. In contrast, bicycles are quiet - except for the gentle 'tring, tring' of their bells.

OR
novel and short stories. Poetry is of two kinds, imaginative and realistic. Drama is either a

It is not necessary that all high school students should go for physical education classes. They are about to

examination and not doing PT. Besides, while doing physical
activities, students can get injured and in the process their studies can suffer. Moreover, they
