All the Regional Joint Directors of school education and the District
Educational Ofcers in the State are aware that the academic year 2022-
23 commenced from 5th July 2022. O rders were already issued about the
implementation of the Action Plan for School Readiness programme for classes
1st to 5th for 6 Weeks and Classes 6th to 9th for 4 Weeks.

Also, the baseline assessment was conducted from 22 nd July 2022 to


identify the existing learning standards of students of classes 2 to 10 regarding
foundational literacy and numeracy by using the assessment tools developed by
the Pratham organization.

To improve the standards of the students, who will be identifed in levels


1,2 and 3 after the conduct of baseline assessment, Remedial Teaching
programme should be undertaken up. To bring the students of levels 1,2 and 3
into the class-appropriate standard. For this, a 90 days, day-wise plan and
Remedial teaching material are prepared ( annexed herewith).

Therefore all the Regional Joint Directors of school education and the
District Educational Ofcers in the State are requested to issue necessary
instructions to all feld functionaries, up to every teacher to ensure the efective
implementation of the day-wise plan for Remedial teaching for the students of
levels 1,2 and 3.

Further, they are requested to monitor the academic activities for ensuring
appropriate class-specifc, subject-specifc learning outcomes among children. It
shall be highlighted that the improvement in the learning outcome levels of the
children will be the focus area for evaluating the academic performance of

teachers. All supervisory ofcers should check this during the school visits/
inspections and prompt action to be taken to ensure that the teachers are fully
aligned with the programs prepared and goals set for them.
